Springtime Chicago Engagement Sessions

Yesterday we had a blast in Chicago with magnificent weather for our two engagement shoots.  We started the day navigating around the Shamrock Shuffle 8K race to make our way to the lake. The couple had requested skyline pictures by the water---and this place certainly fit the bill.  I couldn’t wait to get there so that we could set up a time-lapse scene of the water and skyline. I am not sure exactly what I will do with the footage---but we love doing this stuff.  So yay, Brenton got the time-lapse all set up and running while I took a walk about for inspiration before the shoot.  I can’t tell you how nice it was to be by the water and feel the sun warming your skin with a soft breeze----all with the bumping music in the distance from the Shamrock Shuffle J

Lisa and Luke (our first couple) came with all smiles and were ready for a great time.  They came prepared with sunglasses, light jackets, and lots of love that was a pleasure to photograph.  We all soaked up some sun---and took some dynamite pictures too J  We can’t wait for their wedding!

Next we were off to the Old Water Tower to meet Kristina and Sim.   These two were so sweet and fun, and let me tell you---I’d say that Kristina is up for anything J  A wardrobe change in the middle of downtown Chicago was no-problemo.   LOL  well she did have an undershirt on, but it was just so funny that she was already halfway changed before I could even ask if we needed to go to a more private spot.  The Water Tower place was special to them since this is where Sim proposed.  We walked around the corner for some additional pictures in a courtyard and others in a brick alley.  This couple is going to be so much fun at their wedding in May!

Brenton and I had a wonderful day in Chicago.  We couldn’t have asked for better weather or a better time with our two couples.  Can’t wait to show you all the pictures J
