Chicago Engagement Pictures on the Train by Peer Canvas

Brenton and I enjoyed a day-in-the-life engagement shoot with Kate and James----Chicago Style.  Kate has a wealth of talents---one of which happens to be hairstyling.  We couldn’t resist snapping just a few quick shots of her has she touched up James’ hair before we headed out for the shoot.  I mean this lady actually has the fancy chair to do hair and everything J

We headed out and rode the train into downtown.  It was a great day for sitting back and taking in some scenery----while Brenton and I of course snapped pictures of Kate and James taking in the scenery J  We walked the streets of downtown and stopped at Target.  This wasn’t just any old Target.  The building was designed by legendary architect Louis Sullivan---mentor to Frank Lloyd Write.  The cast-iron scrollwork and revolving door were an excellent choice for some fun pictures.

We ended the shoot at the gardens of the Art Institute ofChicago.  It was just a few steps from all of the hustle of the sidewalk outside and we were surrounded in the peace of nature.

We got home---to their apartment---with a nifty app called Uber.  Uber connects you with regular people/drivers for hire in a sort of ridesharing service.  I was a little skeptical at first, but with a couple clicks on Kate’s phone, sure enough a person in a VW showed up to give us a ride.  Pretty neat.   I don’t think we have Uber here in Beloit, WI.  My phone taps to get a ride would consist of either calling Brenton----or good old mom and dad.  Ironically my parents would probably get to me in Beloit in about the same amount of time as the Uber driver did get to us in Chicago.  J

OK---- time to enjoy the show!!
Thanks for checking out the video below of our day with Kate and James J and some pics too
